Facilitators

Chris Simmons, Senior Associate, Chancery Green – Environment Law and Strategy

Chris is experienced in a wide variety of resource management and planning areas, and has been actively involved in resource consent applications and appeals on a range of development projects. He has made numerous appearances at Council hearings, in the Environment Court and the High Court in relation to resource consent applications and district plan provisions, and has been responsible for a series of references on district and regional plans throughout the country.
Chris advises on specialist environmental aspects of real estate and corporate finance transactions. He has also assisted clients with issues related to compulsory acquisition of land. also In addition to over six years’ experience working in NZ, Chris has spent three years working in the environment / planning field in London, predominantly with a London City firm.

Alana Lampitt, Senior Solicitor, Chancery Green – Environment Law and Strategy

Alana has experience in preparing and consenting major infrastructure developments and in completing significant due diligence exercises for major acquisition projects. Alana has acted for a range of developers in relation to wind and hydo electricity generation projects, residential developments and infrastructure projects. She has also appeared before numerous local authorities and before the Environment Court in respect of development applications, and has represented parties in relation to a wide range of planning processes.
